POLYFORM *&#(@!(@*#*@!&(

Holy crap.........well, 18 ornaments and 1 lb+ of clay later.........
Pulling my hair out!

So this NEW formula Polyform clay dries hard as a rock........there is no give whatsoever.
Sanding was a chore, really had to put some muscle into it to get the job done.
But this sneaky dried clay is quite deceptive......at first I was impressed with the finish
on the face of the ornament,
only required slight sanding, the sides and back were a different story.

Until I started painting!  omg, it took three coats of acrylic white to cover
the brownish colored clay, when it was finally dried was when I started
to see "lines" coming through the paint, not really cracks, but lines that
you could see visually.  These were NOT paint brush strokes, these were
thin lines........and it continued to get worse as I finished with a
clear coat.  Looked awful!

But I still persevered........I tried applying 4 -.25" vinyl letters, and
all hell broke loose!  The clear coat, 3 layers of paint and I think even
layers of clay came up!  So I sanded down again, repainted, clear
coated and waited 2 days for them to cure.........and it
happened again, everything just peeled right up!

Meanwhile, I did some research on alternative clays and
have a few on order, hopefully by the weekend I can
pick up where I left off.

Unfortunately.......I will now lose an entire week of
creating!  I'm not happy at this moment!
