Brother PE 525 Embroidery Machine

I love this machine!

I purchased my Brother PE 525 embroidery machine from Walmart
in May 2016.........and happily embroidered until the machine was
stopped by an F05 Error code at a little over a year old,
which had to do with the speed sensor.

I did find instructions online to fix this problem but it was
a little over my head, so off to the repair shop I went!

I had paid $360 for this low-end machine and I couldn't be
more pleased with it's performance and quality stitching.  It's
really been the perfect machine for what I wanted to do.

Of course when I dropped off the machine to the repair shop
I was concerned about repair charges, in the end the cost was
$130, which included fixing the F05 error, oiling all gears and
general cleaning........

While I was waiting on my machine I decided to check on
Walmart to see if they still had this machine and I was
so surprised to find it and now priced at $275!!!!

If you've ever wanted to add a little embroidery to your creative
arsenal.........RUN and get this machine!  No, I'm not an affiliate
for Walmart!

If I were to buy another machine it would be this one!  When
I initially researched embroidery machines I had narrowed my choice
to the Brother PE 770 or the Brother PE 525.  The main difference is that the
770 offers a 5x7 embroidery area while the 525 has a 4x4 embroidery
area.  The price difference is amazing:
the PE770 is now priced at $670 vs. the PE525 at $275.
There is no choice as far as I'm concerned!

One of my first purchases was to get an extended hoop which
allows me to create designs that are 11"h x 4"w - so I'm
still limited with a 4" width.......so I ask you, is one inch worth
the price of a PE 770, not to me it wasn't.
