I just started working on this Clay Trinket dish, it's pretty much in a raw state
at the moment!
The crystals are set in place, I did a first coat of metallic gold trim
on the outside edge and now..........well, I'm waiting for
the creativity to bloom!
To me this piece calls for decoupaging but I need to
find the right pattern. I do tend toward the boho style but
the other side of me is flowery shabby chic all the way!
What to do? What to do?
I've made plenty of baked clay trinket dishes - and they're
pretty, but I love working with air
dried clay too, it offers so much more flexibility. Although
with air dry you do tend to see more cracks and inclusions
in the clay. I personally don't mind the "not perfect" piece,
I believe it adds a touch of authenticity to the art of handcrafting!
So we shall see how this turns out!
